(In 2013 I put this album on hold when I started working with Jill Bryson and her daughter Jessie in The Shapists).
THIS WAS MEANT TO BE AN ALBUM BUT IN 2022 I DECIDED I MIGHT AS WELL CALL IT A 4 TRACK EP TITLED "HOW ARE THEY TO KNOW" AS I WORKED FOR OVER 2 YEARS ON THE SHAPISTS ALBUM AND NEVER RECORDED THE OTHER SONGS PLANNED FOR THIS ALBUM. THIS ALBUM IS AVAILABLE AT BANDCAMP. CLICK ON THE BANDCAMP LOGO BELOW TO LISTEN TO TRACKS, DOWNLOAD INDIVIDUAL TRACKS OR THE WHOLE ALBUM. Where the calm comes. How are they to know. This song got me 2nd place in the 2011 Falkirk folk club songwriting competition. Album version. Acoustic version. Going through the winter. Album version. Acoustic version. The travellers. For more info on how each song was written go to the lyrics page here : Click on the donate button to give Craig Hood some money for no reason at all.
EVEN IF I DID START RECORDING THE OTHER SONGS RIGHT AFTER THE SHAPISTS ALBUM, IT WOULD BE WITH THE NEWER INSTRUMENTS, RECORDING SOFTWARE, MICROPHONES ETC. THAT I GOT DURING THE SHAPISTS ALBUM AND WOULD SOUND TOTALLY DIFFERENT FROM THE 4 TRACKS I FINISHED
OTHER SONGS INTENDED FOR THIS ALBUM WERE :
ISABELLA
SONG ABOUT A YOUNG WAR ORPHAN NOT RECORDED YET (Got an hounorable mention in 2010 Falkirk folk club song competition)
WHERE ARE YOU NOW
LYRICS AND ARRANGEMENT NOT COMPLETE YET
5 MORE SONGS THAT COULD BE JUST INSTRUMENTALS OR I MIGHT WRITE LYRICS FOR THEM
